Filthy Rose is one sexy candle and she needs looking after. Here's how....

Trim the Wick:
Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm). Trimming the wick helps prevent uneven burning, excess smoke, and ensures a steady flame. Long wicks can cause the candle to burn too hot and may lead to dripping or soot and that isn't a good look on anyone baby.

Use a Snuffer:
Instead of blowing out a candle, use a snuffer or a lid to extinguish the flame. Blowing out a candle can create smoke and may disturb the wax, leading to uneven burning. And the only thing that should feel hot is you. 

Allow the Wax to Pool:
During the first burn, let the entire surface of the candle melt into a liquid pool. This will be around 3-4 hours for the first burn. This helps prevent tunneling, a common issue where only the centre of the candle melts, leaving a rim of unburned wax. For each subsequent burn, ensure the candle has a full melt pool to maximize our incredible fragrance.

Burn in Sessions:
Avoid burning candles for too short a time. Candles have a "memory" (unlike us after a great night out), and will only burn to the point where they melted during the first use. To ensure an even burn, allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire surface to become liquid. 

Keep Away from Drafts:
Place candles away from drafts, vents, or air currents. Drafts can cause uneven burning, dripping, and can also be a safety hazard. Keep windows and doors closed, and avoid placing candles near fans or open windows.
